Wally has been producing and directing commercials, corporate films and video’s, and live events since 1981.
And in a business that abounds with short-lived dabblers and “artistes” who create personal visions using their clients’ budgets, this success is rare and valuable.
While completing his B.S. in Telecommunications and Journalism at Northern Arizona University, he produced and directed at the university. Upon graduation in 1981, he quickly landed at Telemation Productions/Denver, a pioneer in business video communications. Then, in 1983, Johnson & Johnson contracted Wally to create video libraries for medical divisions nationwide and he was subsequently offered a corporate position. However, his love for Colorado and entrepreneurial drive prompted him to form Prism in 1984.
Since then, he has produced and directed hundreds of successful commercials, corporate long form videos and live events. Prism’s client list boasts dozens of Fortune 500 companies. Wally has even worked as a contract consultant with DirecTV when it acquired Primestar to manage and produce its nine-month on-air campaign for converting Primestar subscribers. Wally’s talents have taken him on location from California to New York, to the Abbey Road Studios in London and the country of Yemen.
During his career, he has earned industry and client recognition for bringing every project higher production values for the money than virtually any other producer/director working out of the western U.S. today. Whether shooting film or high definition, he puts the best quality on the screen for the budget. In pre-production, he has an enviable knack for devising efficient production solutions to be able to shoot stories that grab and hold attention. On the set, his coordinated, enthusiastic approach motivates crews and talent. His ability to direct amateurs and corporate officers is renowned. In post-production, his system for managing vast amounts of footage allows the creative team to quickly build and fine-tune each production. Throughout every project, his impeccable business and organizational skills result in a pleasant, professional process.
